Live from the CX Lab | Digital spatial transcriptomics as a powerful tool for dissecting mechanisms of tumor infiltration
In this edition of the Live from the CX Lab webinar series, guest speaker Silvia Brich, PhD, from Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan, Italy, will share how her lab used digital spatial profiling with GeoMx to analyze all phases of breast cancer (ductal carcinoma) progression—normal tissue, DCIS, invasive foci, and associated stroma—on a single slide.
Microinvasive breast cancer, characterized by infiltrating carcinoma of 1 mm or less, often occurs adjacent to ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). Understanding the mechanisms driving tumor infiltration requires advanced spatial analysis. GeoMx DSP provides critical insights into the spatial dynamics of tumor progression and the microenvironment, aiding in the development of more targeted therapies.
Additionally, Amanda Mason, our in-house expert, will introduce the GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler as well as the GeoMx® IO Proteome Atlas (IPA), LIVE from our Amsterdam Customer Experience Lab, showcasing the instrument in action. GeoMx IPA enables non-destructive profiling of >570 proteins in different tissue compartments such as the tumor, microenvironment, and the immune infiltrate.
